Terms & Conditions for Room Only (RO), Bed & Breakfast (BB) and Dinner Bed & Breakfast (DBB)
Charging
Your credit card will be used to guarantee your booking. NO CHARGE will be made from your card at the moment. A credit check may be made on the card to ensure that it is valid. Full payment will be taken on your arrival. A different (valid) method of payment may be used to pay on arrival if you wish. All rates are in British Pounds (GBP).
Cancellation Policy
If a booking needs to be cancelled it must be before 12 noon of day prior to scheduled arrival date, an administration fee may be charged. Any cancellation after this time will be subject to cancellation fee equal to the first nights accommodation. A cancellation number will be given. 'No Shows' will be charged at full cost of booking.
Smoking
Smoking is not permitted anywhere within the hotel as per Scottish Government legislation. If your room smells of smoke after your departure, you will be charged a minimum of a £150.00 for deep cleaning the room. This will be charged to your credit card. By agreeing to the terms and conditions you are agreeing to this specific policy.
Check in/Check Out
Check in time is 2.00pm, check out is 12 noon. Late check in/late checkout can sometimes be arranged.
A fee of £10.00 per room per hour is chargeable; please contact the hotel directly for this facility.
Special Requests
If you have any physical or other considerations that may affect your stay please advise us when booking to ensure that we can offer accommodation most suited to your needs. We regret to advise that the hotel does not have a lift.
Any requests noted in the comments section are considered special requests. These special requests are not guaranteed and will be honoured depending on availability at check-in.
Pets
Well behaved pets are allowed in our bedrooms provided we have been pre notified. We charge £10 per pet per night to cover extra cleaning and other expenses. No pets are allowed in food service areas including bars and foyer. Working guide dogs / hearing dogs are not subject to these restrictions and charges are waived.
Room Capacity
Maximum number of guests in each room is listed on each room type. It is not possible to add extra beds to any of these room types. Any guest trying to accommodate more than maximum number of guests will be refused access to the room.
Board Basis – Your booking is made on one of three options
Room Only Basis (no meals included) – Breakfast, lunch, dinner, etc may be purchased at the hotel at an extra charge.
Bed and Breakfast - Your choice of full or continental breakfast is included.
Dinner, Bed and Breakfast - An allowance of £20.00 is allowed for each adult, each night towards meals in either Harvey’s Bistro or the a la carte Restaurant 47. Any charges over this allowance will be charged to an “extras” account that should be settled on departure. Any under spend on allocation on one night cannot be credited against any overspend on a subsequent night.
Agreement to Terms and Conditions

Charging
Your credit card will be charged in full at the time of booking. If we are unable to access funds from your nominated card your booking will be cancelled. We will try to contact you to notify you of any problems and obtain another valid payment method to reactivate the booking. But if we cannot contact you or get a valid payment method the booking will remain cancelled. We bear no responsibility for any costs that you may incur due to offering an invalid payment method, including pre booked travel in conjunction with this attempted booking. All rates are in British Pounds (GBP).
Cancellation Policy
This is a no change, no cancellation booking. You cannot alter or cancel this booking after you have confirmed it and payment is taken.
Smoking
The Pitbauchlie House Hotel is a non-smoking hotel.
Failure to adhere to the non smoking policy will result in a monetary fine for cleaning purposes.
